Video poker is based on a very popular card game, which is named poker. The purpose of the virtual player is the same as the real gamer’s purpose: to gather the maximal winning combination of five cards, given at the beginning of the game.

The Process of Playing Video Poker Is Divided on Four Main Stages

At first the player chooses the size of his bet. Usually it is done with the help of the buttons of increasing (+) or decreasing (-) the initial stake. On the next stage the machine gives the gambler five cards, which are shown on the monitor. The player marks the needed cards and those, which he thinks, should be changed.

Then the video poker slot makes the change: it changes unneeded to other. If after the change the gambler gets the winning combination he is offered two ways to go: take his money away or play another game with these money to double them.

The bonus game has its own special points.

The gamer is shown five cards and only one of them is opened. You should choose from the closed cards that one, which will be better than the one you have already. In the lucky case all the sum is doubled, but another case leads to the loss of all money. There are some other variants of bonus game.

What I have to say about the winning combinations is that in usual video poker they are the same as in classical poker. The only size of the payments is changed in the video poker. But there are also some special kinds of video poker, where there are some special combinations – something like four of aces, which are paid much better than the usual four of kind – four similar cards.
