    Useful reading for video poker players

    I was searching for a book that is easy to read and clear to understand. I needed the book that provides all new information about video poker covering latest tendencies and casino strategies. I have found this book and I like it.

    A beginner’s Bible

    I do think beginners must read this book as they will find lots of interesting information there. Quite often beginners can easily understand first chapters of the book, but as book gets into details most newbies get lost. Linda Boyd seems to be teacher as she has a real natural gift for explaining even rather complicated aspects of game. Book is supplied with vocabulary that explains all possible terms.

    If you want to try video poker, read this book first

    Just an excellent book for video poker players of all kinds. My best recommendations.

    It didn’t prove my expectations

    Linda Boyle’s book doesn’t provide that much information as it’s stated. In true, you can find all this in Internet. Some parts of strategy are explained even better on websites where this information is free to use. So called strategy cards are completely useless and I don’t think you will ever return to them.

    The only thing I really liked about this book is the part devoted to various US casinos and their difference in several states. That information was interesting to read and maybe I will use the knowledge I’ve got one day.

    Not bad

    I truly think this book is worth its price. It will be just great for video poker players, especially for those who just step in the game. Book starts with quick overview of video poker as a game and you will read about most important aspects of the game. As book continues, Linda Boyle opens new and new advanced techniques and tells much about video poker strategy. While experienced players may not find lots of new things, newbies will get the most of this book and will certainly find new information almost on every page.

    The thing I don’t like is practice examples. Hands that are shown in this book are obvious and easy to play, while opponents are not skilled at all. I don’t believe this can be in reality.

    Even if you are a skilled player and occasionally have bought this book, don’t be disappointed. Strategy charts at the end of the book are really worth the price of the whole book. They can be removed, so you can take them with you and use while playing video poker.

    High quality video poker book

    If you are new to video poker you absolutely need this book. This book will give you all the information you need to make a successful start in this game. It’s easy to read as Boyd tries to use simple language and cover all difficulties that may arise for beginner. However, if you have already read books concerning video poker, you may not find many new things here. Personally found only Video Lottery Terminals section useful for me, but still love this book.

    This book touches mathematics issues, but they are easy to understand even if you have difficulties with math. All examples are easy to read and understand. Handy charts give a good outlook on game strategy and choosing right video poker machine.

    I’ve completely fallen in love with strategy cards. You can get them online, but they cost pretty much and here you can get them as a bonus to the book. It’s a great bonus as for me. I use them quite often and find these strategy cards indeed useful.
